There are many legitimate and lucrative home based businesses, but there are also many marketing scams that are presented as the best home business opportunity. Sifting through all of the opportunities that are available and determining which are legitimate and which are well suited for someone with your experience and skill sets can be time consuming.
One of the best home business opportunities I have seen recently is the opportunity to sell items on EBay.
To sell items on EBay one need not invest a lot of money. In fact, there is little to no capital investment required. An EBay membership is free. The only tools you need are a personal computer, an internet connection and a digital camera.
To make being an EBay reseller the best home business opportunity for you, you do need to provide products for sale. These products can range from unused or unwanted items that you currently own – products sold on EBay need not be new – to new items that you can buy directly from a discount store or distributor and resell for a profit. There are also a lot of people, many of whom are retired or not computer or internet savvy, that are willing to hire others to sell items for them and share the profits.
As an EBay seller, you can start an auction when you want to, which allows you the freedom of then determining when you will make trips to the post office to mail items to buyers. The shipping aspect of this career is virtually the only demanding part of the job, and it isn’t even that intense– especially considering that the US Postal service will now pick up packages from your home or place of business and deliver them for you!
